Biography

Shiqi Luo is a solo violinist and chamber musician known for her expressive tone, refined musical sensitivity, and distinctive artistic voice. As both a performer and curator, she explores storytelling through music, shaping immersive experiences that connect deeply with contemporary audiences.In recent years, Luo has been active on international stages, appearing at venues and festivals across the United States, Europe, and Asia. In 2025, she successfully completed her international tour, further establishing her presence as a compelling and versatile artist. Alongside her performance career, she is the founder of the Sunway Music Foundation, dedicated to nurturing young musicians and expanding access to classical music through innovative programming.Her debut album, set for release in the summer of 2026, marks a new chapter in her artistic journey. The project reflects a deeply personal exploration of fragility, resilience, and transformation. In conjunction with the album, her original work Le Papillon will also be published, extending her creative voice beyond performance into composition and artistic authorship.Shiqi began studying the violin at the age of four and was later admitted to the Primary School affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where she trained under Professor Lina Yu. She went on to study at the Manhattan School of Music, earning a Master’s degree and Professional Studies Certificate in Classical Violin Performance. Throughout her career, she has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Columbia University, and has collaborated with distinguished artists and ensembles worldwide.Praised for her musical depth and stage presence, Luo continues to shape a unique artistic path—one that blends performance, curation, and narrative into a cohesive and evolving musical language.
